Kinesiology is a natural therapy which gives us a unique dialogue with the body through a muscle response system
Health & Emotional Wellbeing
Kinesiology takes its influence of understanding health issues from a fusion of the Chinese medicine system (in particular working with the Five Element Theory and Meridians) and Western medicine’s studies in anatomy and physiology. Along the way, research from vibrational medicine practitioners, for instance on the use of flower essences and chakra balancing, have also been incorporated. Dr Bruce Dewe, a Medical Doctor from New Zealand, brought together all the significant methods to form Professional Kinesiology Practice, and this is the style of Kinesiology I trained in. It gives me a huge repertoire of therapeutic and balancing techniques to call upon, as the body indicates which healing path it needs to take.
General health issues
Whether your problem is seemingly more structural, like a sore neck that won’t get better, or more emotional like body shape issues, the approach I take will be holistic. Together we will map out everything your body is communicating, and ask for direction through muscle response, as to what it seeks for a healthy resolution. Following are just some of the health issues that Kinesiology can help with:
• Breathing problems
• Back pain
• TMJ pain
• Co-ordination
• Digestion
• Depression
• Fatigue
• Lifestyle evaluation
• Old injuries & scar tissue
• Sabotages
• Panic attacks
• Stress management
Women’s issues
Every woman has an individual response to her body, her sense of what it is to be a woman and her emotional connection to her body’s cycles. Kinesiology can help resolve issues such as:
• Body image
• Period pain
• Weight loss
• Stress incontinence
• Dealing with the Menopause
• Mood swings during the menstrual cycle
CHILDREN
Learning & Behavioural Response Programme for Children
For some children, school isn’t the fun experience that their friends all seem to have. They may hide their feelings about school but become increasingly despondent about turning up to class every day. Similarly, they may demonstrate their frustration through disruptive behaviour at school or at home.
Kinesiology is a drug-free alternative approach for parents, and is a therapy which looks into both physiological and emotional causes of a child’s learning and behavioural response.
Checking brain hemisphere integration
Both brain hemispheres need to integrate in their processing for physical co-ordination, emotional and behavioural response and learning tasks. Stresses anywhere in the chain of neural impulses disrupt the output, and this might manifest for instance in clumsiness or an inability to follow instructions or difficulty in reading.
How many children do you know who
• switch their b and d when writing?
• become tired when reading?
• skip words or add words when they read?
• drop a ball the minute their hands touch it?
• lose confidence in a task quickly?
Benefits from the first session
Biologically every experience, however small, gains an emotional context as neural pathways develop into well-worn routes once the mind recognises that it has “been there” before. That’s why Kinesiologists recognise the importance in defusing the emotional association with any imbalance found. At HebeKin, we can assess the child’s response to various stimuli and reintegrate the brain pathways through specialist Kinesiology corrections. Benefits will be experienced from the first session, enabling the child to grow in confidence and reap the benefits of an integrated brain-body messaging system.
TESTIMONIAL
"I went to see Julia during a time when I found myself very stressed and when my overall energy levels were very low. I had been studying and working simultaneously for two years, was very tired, & smoking quite a lot. After a few Kinesiology sessions with Julia, I began to feel lighter, and my energy started to return. I started swimming again which I had not done for a long time, and I am no longer smoking. I found the sessions with Julia invaluable during this period, delivered with a lot of warmth & practicality."

"Working with Julia has been both a pleasure and a breakthrough for me. I look forward to my time with her as we've covered much ground in our sessions.
I have learnt to understand my body better and how my emotional reactions can impact my energy level and general feeling of wellbeing. I have also learnt various exercises that I can easily replicate in both my professional and personal life to assist with the management of stress, or stress-inducing situations.
Julia has a very calming and grounding demeanour with a careful and empathic approach to dealing with any issues that may arise in a session. She has a gentle strength and intuitiveness which is both refreshing and regenerative.
For anyone wanting to try a fascinating, non-invasive but powerful natural therapy, I can recommend booking in for a session with Julia. As they say, the body is the barometer of the soul and through kinesiology you can discover what's holding you back in life, and break through any subconscious patterns that prevent you from moving forward.
What a wonderful gift to be able to empower people to heal themselves through information that is stored in their own bodies."
